KHSAA Dead Period '26 has ceased. Varsity Indians will report to Centre College tomorrow for team camp as we begin preseason prep.

KHSAA Dead Period is June 25 – July 9. There will be no soccer activities or contact from coaches during this time.

Rising Jr. Austin Bromagen, also a kicker for MoCo football, attended Kohl's Kicking Camp.

Rising Sr. Charlie Hughes won a Kentucky State Cup with his club and will play at USYS Nationals this summer with Lexington Sporting.

Colton Martin — a two-time club state champ — was an MLS Next Great Lakes South finalist with Lexington Sporting and joins Kings Hammer Cincinnati's U23 side in the OVPL this summer.

MoCo reached the Madison Southern 7v7 final — beating Madison Central 1 in a shootout in the semis before falling to Madison Central 2 in overtime.

Sr. Jayden Beltran signed to continue his soccer journey at the University of Pikeville.

Sr. Colton Kenney signed to continue his soccer career at Asbury University.

2025 team awards: MVP Colton Kenney, Defensive MVP Logan Miller, Golden Boot co-leaders Colton Martin & Cailen Vice, and Goal of the Year Sneider Pinzon.

The 2025 varsity posted a 3.78 cumulative team GPA — District champs on the field and in the classroom.

Sr. Colton Kenney made the KHSSCA East All-State Second Team and played in the All-State Game at Spalding.

An injury-plagued 2025 ended on a high, and the Indians return eight starters from the region final for Fall 2026.

In the 10th Region final at home, MoCo struck first (Colton Kenney (Sr), assist Cailen Vice (So)) but Brossart equalized late; after two overtimes the Mustangs won on penalties, 4-2. The Indians finish 13-7-2 — District Champions and Region Runners-Up.

Alumni spotlight: all-state goalkeeper Danny Hernandez went on to play college soccer at Spalding and then professionally in Italy.

All-state striker Noah Wallace signed with Spalding University — the second all-state Indian to join the Golden Eagles, after GK Danny Hernandez.

Colton Martin represented his club again at the USL Academy Cup.

Alumni spotlight: Haroon 'Rooney' Saleem ('99) was an all-state midfielder for MoCo and ranks 13th all-time in goals at DII USC Aiken.

Alumni spotlight: the 2016 Indians won the 39th District behind senior Zach Hill, who went on to four years at Transylvania and three first-team all-conference nods on defense.

Sr. Noah Wallace earned KHSSCA All-State First Team (East) honors after finishing among the state's leading scorers.

Seniors Noah Wallace and Ben Thomerson made the 10th Region All-Region First Team, with juniors Cooper Slagle and Jennings Patrick on the Second Team.

The season ended with a 0-6 loss to Campbell County in the 10th Region tournament — final record 9-15.

After the sudden passing of Chad Vice — a 1999 MoCo alumnus and father of 8th grader Cailen — the Indians family rallied, and two days later Cailen took the field and scored on a free kick. The team honors Chad at the fence where he watched every game.

Fell 0-1 to Lexington Catholic on the night the team honored the late Chad Vice.

A rough one at North Oldham, 1-10 — Noah Wallace (Sr) struck early before injuries piled up.

In 2023 the Indians marked 40 years since their first varsity season in 1983 — a program milestone celebrated at the season banquet.

Bounced back 3-2 over Ashland Blazer — Noah Wallace (Sr) 2, Kaden Kinney (Sr); a late PK save from keeper Corbin Pellegrinelli (Jr).

Dropped a 1-2 home battle to Dixie Heights.

Won a 4-3 thriller over Russell in the Rec Bowl.

MoCo's soccer roots trace to Dr. Mohammed Sabie, the 'Father of Soccer in Kentucky,' who mentored program founder Jeff Lendon at Morehead State.

Beat Rowan County 6-1 — another Noah Wallace (Sr) hat trick, plus Ben Thomerson (Sr), Carson Anderson (Jr), and Cooper Slagle (Jr); assists from Wallace, Thomerson, Slagle, and Jason Pacheco (Jr).

Routed Boyd County 6-1 — a Noah Wallace (Sr) hat trick, Cooper Slagle (Jr) 2, Carson Anderson (Jr); assists Cooper Slagle (Jr) 3, Waylon Stewart (Fr) 2, Ben Thomerson (Sr).

Colton Martin won a U14 State Cup with his club, alongside future Indians Logan Miller and Waylon Stewart.

8th grader Colton Martin was invited to play up with the Lexington Sporting Club U15s at the USL Academy Cup in Tampa.

Founder Jeff Lendon led the Indians to the state title game in 1989 and 1994 and retired in 2005 as KHSCA Coach of the Year — his 245-210-22 record is still top 15 all-time in Kentucky.

Second head coach Nick Pannell (2005–19) coined the #RockSolid motto and went 203-97-22 with ten district titles, four 10th Region championships, and two Elite Eight trips. He retired from coaching in 2020 and later returned to the sideline at North Oldham in Oldham County.

In 1978, Coach Jeff Lendon introduced soccer to Montgomery County in a class at Mt. Sterling Elementary. The Indians played their first varsity season five years later, in 1983.
